Special Correspondent (Agrinews24) : Paragon Group successfully hosted the Hubbard Color Bird Launching Program-2025 on February 15 (Saturday) at the InterContinental Dhaka, marking a significant advancement in the country’s poultry sector. The event, attended by industry leaders and experts, focused on the increasing demand for color chickens in Bangladesh and the benefits of Hubbard Premium GP Color Bird.
The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome speech from Md. Rafiqul Haque, CEO of Poultry Consultant & Development Service. In his address, he highlighted the growing market for color chickens, stating, “Over the past few years, we have seen a steady increase in demand for color chickens in Bangladesh. In 2024 alone, the total placement of industrial broilers was 6.5 million, while color chickens accounted for approximately 1 million. If we consider the production productivity of color chickens, they contribute nearly 20% of the must-put-on-market industrial broilers.”
Mr. Bruno Briand, Global Commercial Director of Hubbard, discussed the “Premium Concepts” of Hubbard’s poultry breeds, emphasizing how the introduction of Hubbard Premium GP Color Bird will enhance local poultry farming efficiency.
Following this, Mr. Olivier Rochard, Managing Director of Hubbard SAS, delivered a presentation titled “Hubbard Corporate Presentation.” He elaborated on Hubbard’s global operations and its commitment to advancing poultry genetics.
A technical session was led by Ehsanul Kabir Mosru, Senior Technical Manager, Hubbard, who presented “Hubbard Premium Global PS Performance.” His discussion focused on the genetic advancements and superior performance of Hubbard’s parent stock worldwide.
The most anticipated address came from Moshiur Rahman, Managing Director of Paragon Group, who provided an in-depth overview of the company’s journey and vision for the future. “Paragon Group started its Grand Parent (GP) farm in 2004 with the Hubbard Classic broiler breed and later transitioned to Hubbard Efficiency Plus. We have always been committed to quality and sustainable poultry farming,” he stated.
Mr. Rahman also announced the official launch of Hubbard Premium GP Color Bird in Bangladesh, adding, “With the rising demand for color birds, we are proud to introduce the world-renowned Hubbard Premium GP Color Bird. The first batch of 6,500 chicks was launched on January 26, 2025, and we aim to begin supplying Parent Stock (PS) chicks by August 2025.” He reaffirmed Paragon’s commitment to innovation, stating that the company’s Genetics R&D team is continuously improving breeds to ensure superior productivity and minimal sexing error rates.
Among others, Paragon Group’s directors Mrs. Yasmin Rahman, Mr. Mehran Rahman, and Mr. Mahir Rahman were also present at the event.
The grand launch was marked with a cake-cutting ceremony, celebrating the official introduction of the Hubbard Premium GP Color Bird in Bangladesh. The event concluded with a cultural performance, featuring traditional Bangladeshi dance forms such as Monipuri, Dhamail, and performances by Khudro Nrigoshthi, along with a special act by the Warda Rehab dance group.
Guests were then treated to a lavish dinner, where industry professionals continued discussions on the future of poultry farming in Bangladesh.
